I write memoir and
creative non-fiction.
I publish personal essays on a range of topics. For instance, I have written about falling in love with horror and spending holidays alone for Broad Street Review.
My short story "The Wingman" appears in the anthology Best Short Stories of Philadelphia 2021 (Toho Press), edited by Matthew Perez and guest editor Quinn Eli. "The Wingman" is a memoir about searching for self, home, love, and truth on South Street.
I wrote about Kate Bush, Toni Basil, and more in the Philly Zine Fest 2020 Anthology. Since the 1990s, I have published a zine called Medusa very intermittently; every hand-stapled issue is a valuable collector's item.
In fall 2018 and spring 2019, I judged the Judith Stark Creative Writing Contest at Community College of Philadelphia, which offers cash prizes for the best student poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and scripts.
